On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the varsity Stevenson Allied Basketball team faced off against Mundelein at the Sports Center. This game resulted in a victory for Stevenson, leaving the scoreboard at 48-28.
The game featured many several standout moments. Both John Falcon ’25 and Omprakash Kothi Vishnuram ’25 utilized their speed throughout the game, making steals before dashing across the court, giving the team an advantage. Falcon alone racked up 14 points alone, scoring nearly 30 percent of all points in the game. The game saw the Patriots briskly rack up six points in the first two minutes of the game. They continued to further their lead by focusing on defense, and then going on the offensive after making steals.
However, Mundelein also made strides throughout the game. The second period alone saw the team gain an impressive 10 points, and followed it up with six points each in the next two quarters.
The game ended 48–28, with Mundelein tightening up the score in the last half. However, the Patriots ultimately secured the victory. Despite Mundelein’s efforts, including a strong second quarter, Stevenson’s defense and offense prevailed and led the team to victory.
